Roco 7120046 H0 steam locomotive 50 1751, DB, Ep. III, AC-Sound Product Details
Roco 7120046 H0 Steam locomotive 50 1751 - AC sound model for heavy DB freight traffic
The Roco 7120046 steam locomotive 50 1751 is the ideal model for all those who want to experience powerful DB steam locomotives with digital sound. As an AC sound version, it brings the typical design of the class 50 to your H0 layout - including 7 driven axles, fine metal parts and an authentic sound image. This locomotive stands for reliability, performance and historically correct Era III Federal Railroad operation.
Technology for demanding model railroad operation
The locomotive is driven on two axles of the tender, in addition a cardan shaft drives all five driving axles of the locomotive - this results in a total of seven driven axles. A flywheel mass ensures smooth running, while the PluX16 digital decoder provides realistic AC sound. The 3-head lighting with LED technology is dependent on the direction of travel and provides authentic lighting for driving operations.
Authentic in ÜK design
The locomotive has a 4-domed boiler and no bell mechanism - typical of many class 50 locomotives that were rebuilt as part of the ÜK simplification measures. Locomotives with a lower classification number later also had these features. Small lamps on the front buffer beam and finely detailed metal wheel sets as well as driving and coupling rods made of cast metal emphasize the high-quality implementation of this model.
The class 50 - the backbone of the post-war freight trains
The class 50 was one of the most widely used freight locomotives on the German Federal Railroad. Whether on main lines or in heavy regional traffic - it was a robust all-purpose machine. The 50 1751 model is exemplary of this successful locomotive type, which, with simplified equipment, formed the backbone of DB train transportation for a long time.
Who is this model ideal for?
This model is aimed at AC drivers who are looking for a powerful, visually authentic and digitally sonorous locomotive. Perfect for use in front of long freight trains, pushing services or in combination with Roco passenger cars in mixed traffic of the 1950s.
