The Roco 7320083 Deutsche Bundespost diesel locomotive no. 1 brings a rare, historically significant vehicle from eras III-IV to your H0 layout - now for the first time in a fully-fledged AC sound version with Next18 interface. With its compact design, digital shunting light and true-to-original sound, this locomotive is the perfect model for post and shunting scenes in post-war Germany.

Model from the post-war period - Federal Post Office locomotive

The locomotive is based on the type WR 360 C 14, which was originally developed for military purposes. The replica from 1948 by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK) was adapted for civilian use at the Hanover Chief Post Office. From 1948 to 1972, four of these locomotives (Nos. 1 to 4) were used in postal stations and on DB tracks. The enlarged cooling water expansion tank is striking and has also been realistically reproduced in the model.

AC version with digital sound and shunting light

This version is prepared for AC operation (Märklin-compatible) and is equipped with a permanently installed digital decoder (DCC & Motorola). The integrated sound chip provides realistic operating sounds. The locomotive also has a switchable shunting light that can be activated especially in digital operation - perfect for prototypical scenarios in the station area.

Compact technology for precise operation

The locomotive has three driven axles, one of which has traction tires, as well as an integrated flywheel for smooth running. The modern LED headlights change depending on the direction of travel and ensure a harmonious look. Thanks to its short length of just 106 mm, the model is particularly suitable for cramped track conditions and short-distance traffic.
