Roco 7320096 H0 Diesel locomotive BR 120, DR, Ep. IV, AC sound
Are you looking for a powerful and true-to-original diesel locomotive from the Deutsche Reichsbahn for your AC digital layout? The Roco BR 120 144, also known as the "Taiga Drum", impresses with its impressive sound equipment, detailed design and its typical Eastern Bloc power - a real highlight for Era IV fans!
The "Taiga Drum" - Soviet power on GDR tracks
Between 1966 and 1975, the DR procured a total of 378 class V 200 locomotives (class 120 from 1970) from Soviet production. The locomotives were mainly used in freight train services and quickly became known by the nickname "Taiga drum" due to their loud diesel sound. The locomotive 120 144 presented here was based in the Dresden depot and had the characteristic Dessau decorative stripes.
True to the original and with a harmonious sound
Roco has recreated the locomotive with many loving details: Original silencers, free-standing shunting handles below the buffers, fully reproduced air tanks and a particularly realistic bogie design leave nothing to be desired. The engine room is printed in multiple colors for the first time and rounds off the authentic appearance perfectly.
Digital functions for a realistic experience
With the built-in PluX22 digital decoder, the BR 120 offers an impressive sound experience as well as switchable light functions: Headlights/tail lights, cab lighting and engine room lighting can be controlled digitally independently of each other. This creates a realistic driving experience - even at night or when shunting.
Powerful technology for model railroad use
The locomotive has four powered axles, two of which have traction tires, which ensures high tractive power. A flywheel ensures smooth and even running. Use is possible from a minimum radius of 358 mm, so that the locomotive can also shine on more compact layouts.
Conclusion: A must for DR enthusiasts and sound lovers
The Roco BR 120 144 "Taiga Drum" brings a GDR freight train atmosphere with a real sound experience and numerous details to your H0 layout. Now available in the model railroad store - get this powerful locomotive with authentic presence and convincing technology!
