Frequently asked questions
| Question: | Which model railway layouts is the Roco 7380004 diesel locomotive suitable for? |
| Answer: | The model is designed for TT scale layouts at a scale of 1:120 using a two-rail DC system. It represents Deutsche Reichsbahn locomotive 132 146-2 from Era IV and is particularly suitable for long passenger and freight trains. |
| Question: | Is the locomotive supplied with a digital decoder and sound? |
| Answer: | No, the model is supplied in analogue form without sound. A compatible digital decoder can be installed later through the PluX16 interface. |
| Question: | Which drive and lighting features does the model provide? |
| Answer: | All six axles are powered, with traction tyres fitted to two of them. The lighting changes according to the direction of travel between triple headlights and two red tail lights and can be adjusted using DIP switches. |
| Question: | Which coupling system does the locomotive use? |
| Answer: | The model features NEM 358 coupling pockets. It does not have a close-coupling mechanism, so the distance to attached coaches or wagons depends on the couplings used. |
| Question: | Which dimensions and track radii should be considered? |
| Answer: | The length over buffers is 174 mm, and the stated minimum radius is 267 mm. This allows the six-axle locomotive to operate on relatively compact TT scale layouts. |
