This Roco car set consists of three express train cars for the German Federal Railroad's Eurocity 24 "Erasmus". The 2nd class compartment car has class numbers arranged low, while the 1st class compartment car is still equipped with the small roof antenna of the former train secretariat.
History: For the 1987 summer timetable, new quality standards were set for the cross-border InterCity trains with regard to car material, speed and service. Trains that met these criteria were given the designation "EuroCity". The EC 24 "Erasmus" connected the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck via Munich and Frankfurt am Main, then along the Rhine via Emmerich with the Dutch capital Amsterdam. The cars in this set were taken off the end of the train or the top of the train in accordance with traffic demand when the locomotive was changed over to the Dutch electric locomotive in Emmerich. Since they were only used in Austria and Germany, they did not have to be multi-voltage cars.
