With the Roco 78341 class 012 steam locomotive, Roco brings a technically and visually high-quality model realization of one of the most powerful German express steam locomotives to your H0 layout. The locomotive is based on the famous class 01.10, which was extensively modernized after the Second World War and equipped with new boilers and oil tenders. A total of 34 locomotives were converted to oil main firing and formed the backbone of the high-quality express train service of the German Federal Railroad in Era IV.

The model is presented in an extremely finely detailed design with new boilers, deep sand boxes and filigree metal wheel sets. The realization in H0 scale perfectly reflects the massive elegance of the 012. The locomotive is equipped with a factory-installed digital sound decoder (MX645R) and offers a full three-light headlamp at both ends of the vehicle that changes depending on the direction of travel. A smoke generator (Seuthe No. 11) can be retrofitted and switched digitally. The model also comes with an etched sign set for individual design.

The locomotive is driven by six axles, three of which have traction tires for maximum tractive power. A flywheel mass ensures excellent running characteristics. The electrical interface in accordance with NEM 652 is already equipped with the sound decoder. Coupling is via an NEM 362 shaft (without KK kinematics). With a minimum radius of 419 mm and a length over buffers of 277 mm, the model is ideal for spacious layouts.
