With the Trix 21229 train set, you can add the legendary "Spalter Bockl" to your H0 model railroad collection. This lovingly designed German Federal Railroad (DB) train set from Era III includes the famous class 98.3 "glass box" as well as three Bavarian local railroad cars - including baggage/mail cars and two 3rd class passenger cars - in operating condition around 1957. A nostalgic trip into the world of the branch lines of the post-war era.

Delicate, powerful, digital - the glass box is alive

The detailed class 98.3 steam locomotive has a miniature motor in the boiler, two powered axles, a traction tire and a buffer tank for reliable operation. The locomotive has a modern digital decoder with mfx functionality and numerous sound functions. The triple headlights depend on the direction of travel, operate conventionally and can be controlled digitally. The inner boiler is made of metal, the body is made of metal-filled plastic - for optimized traction and a high level of detail.

Complete set with well thought-out power supply

All three cars - the mail/baggage car and the two passenger cars - are equipped with LED interior lighting as standard. This is powered by the locomotive and has its own buffer storage. The current-carrying couplers can be separated and switched digitally - a special feature that ensures reliable operation and a clean appearance.

True to the original implementation with a harmonious overall length

With a locomotive length over buffers of 8.0 cm and a total train set length of approx. 50 cm, the train is ideal for branch line and diorama layouts in the classic H0 format. Numerous attached handrails, grab rails and filigree boiler fittings ensure the highest level of detail and make the set attractive for collectors too.
