Trix 25241 H0 Series 13 EST Express Steam Locomotive, Era II: French Elegance with Powerful Technology

With the Trix 25241 Series 13 (241-A) express steam locomotive, Trix is bringing a fascinating piece of French railroad history to the H0 model railroad layout. The locomotive was used in the 1930s by the French Eastern Railroad (EST) for heavy express train service and was a real powerhouse on international routes. It became particularly well known as the locomotive for the famous "L'Edelweiss" express train. The model presented here has the road number EST 241-004 and corresponds to the operating condition around 1931 - with a black basic paint scheme, adapted wind deflectors and type-specific details such as the kerosene headlights.

The Trix 25241 is not only a visual masterpiece, but also technically at the highest level. It has a DCC/mfx-compatible digital decoder that makes extensive light and sound functions possible. For showcase enthusiasts, an alternative frame without wheel recesses is included, which can be exchanged for the standard trailing axle. The model is complemented by delicate accessories such as brake hoses, heating couplings and imitation screw couplings.
