The BR 52 5365 of the German Federal Railroad is an impressive model of one of the most frequently built steam locomotives in Europe - ideal for freight trains in post-war reconstruction traffic and now faithfully reproduced in N scale.
BR 52 - the "workhorse" of the post-war period
Over 7,000 class 52 locomotives were produced between 1942 and 1950. These so-called war locomotives were designed with minimal use of materials in order to meet the increasing transportation requirements of the time. With an output of 1,192 kW and a top speed of 80 km/h, the class 52 also proved its worth in peacetime - including on the German Federal Railroad in Era III.
Detailed model with typical features
Fleischmann has produced the 52 5365 locomotive in the version with the classic tub tender. The leading wheel set has disk wheels as were frequently found in this design. The LED headlights are dependent on the direction of travel and support the harmonious appearance. The locomotive can be digitized via the NEM 651 interface if required. It is also compatible with the Z21 driver's cab.
Reliable technology for analog layouts
The powerful 3-pole motor drives two axles, two traction tires ensure high tractive power. The locomotive is suitable for radii from 192 mm. Coupling is via NEM 355 (without close coupling link) - ideal for classic freight wagons of the post-war period.
