Rh 1110.5 - classic conversion with electric brakes

The original 1110 series was developed from the mid-1950s as an express locomotive for the ÖBB. In 1974/75, ten locomotives were fitted with resistance braking systems and were given the new designation 1110.5 - while retaining the old serial numbers. Striking distinguishing features were the distinctive roof superstructures with fans for the electric brakes and the single-arm pantographs.

Finely detailed model for analog operation

Fleischmann supplies the 1110 529-3 in a high-quality mold version with many separately applied details. Particularly noteworthy are the finely etched windshield wipers, the complete engraving of the lamp sockets and the filigree pantographs with innovative mounting. The locomotive is designed for analogue operation at the factory, but can be easily digitized thanks to the Next18 interface.

Technology & appearance at a high level

A powerful 3-pole motor with flywheel mass ensures smooth running characteristics. Four axles are driven, two of them with traction tires. Thanks to the NEM 355 coupler with close coupler link and a minimum radius of 192 mm, the locomotive can also be used reliably on tight radii.
