BLS Re 465 - Versatile between the Alps and the lowlands

The Re 465 is technically based on the SBB Re 460, but has been optimized for BLS. Instead of one inverter per bogie, the Re 465 has one inverter per axle, which improves the distribution of tractive power. BLS uses the locomotives for both freight transport and high-quality passenger services - including the well-known GoldenPass commuter train over the Lötschberg.
