Kres 51042031 BR 670 double-decker-rail bus, 670 004-1, DB, Ep. V (digital)

The Dessau and Halle-Ammendorf factories of Deutsche Waggonbau AG (DWA) built 6 double-decker rail buses of the 670 model. These were equipped with diesel engines and some were fitted with elements from bus construction. From the start of operation in 1996, the unreliable air conditioning systems, inadequate engine cooling and the lack of toilets became particularly noticeable. As a result, the planned successor series 670.1 was never produced, partly due to disagreements between Deutsche Bahn and the manufacturer. However, Kres produced this model of the class 670 double-decker rail bus in the traffic red design of Deutsche Bahn AG. It has a digital decoder and various lighting functions. These include interior lighting and a white light change at the front of the vehicle.
