Description

Roco 7500127 H0 2er Set electric locomotive Re 4/4 II 11133 und Re 4/4 II 11192, SBB, Ep. V-VI Product Details

Roco 7500127 H0 set of 2 electric locomotives Re 4/4 II 11133 and Re 4/4 II 11192, SBB, Ep. V-VI: Swiss precision in a double pack

The Roco 7500127 H0 set of 2 brings two of the legendary Re 4/4 II locomotives of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to your model railroad layout. With the fully equipped models of locomotives 11133 and 11192, you get a perfect combination of technical innovation and historical authenticity. Both locomotives have been carefully reproduced and reflect the typical features of their prototypes from eras V and VI.

The prototype: The versatile Re 4/4 II

The Re 4/4 II is one of SBB's best-known multi-purpose locomotives and stands for Swiss engineering skill and reliability. Its development began in the 1960s, when the first six prototypes were ordered under the designation "BoBo". The first series of 49 locomotives followed in 1965, which were still equipped with a single scissor pantograph. From 1969, the series was delivered with two single-arm pantographs and an optimized roof arrangement.

The Re 4/4 II locomotives are characterized by their versatility and were used for passenger and freight transport. To this day, they are an integral part of Swiss rail transportation and represent the transition from traditional railroad technology to modernity.

The special features of the model

The locomotive set includes the Re 4/4 II 11133 and 11192, both of which are fully equipped. Both models have modernized roof superstructures with air conditioning, but are still without TSI numbers. Locomotive 11133 is a former Swiss Express locomotive and is characterized by its extended buffer beam. Locomotive 11192 from the second series has the new rear-view mirror on the left in the direction of travel and does not have a train destination display on one side, which realistically reflects the prototype.

Both locomotives are equipped with EP sockets on the buffer beam and offer a switchable headlight that can be controlled via DIP switches. The Z21 cab compatibility enables an even more realistic playing experience.

Color scheme and design

The Re 4/4 II locomotives in the set impress with their authentic color scheme and detailed printing. The locomotives have the typical SBB paintwork from eras V and VI, which is complemented by precise lettering and fine details. These features make the models a visual highlight on any H0 layout.

Technical details and compatibility

The model set is manufactured in H0 scale (1:87) and designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC). With an overall length over buffers (LüP) of 355 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the set is suitable for a wide range of layout configurations. Thanks to the coupling shafts according to NEM and the close coupling kinematics (KK kinematics), the locomotives can be easily integrated into existing train formations.

Care and maintenance

The locomotives in the Roco 7500127 set are low-maintenance and robust. The LED light sources are maintenance-free and ensure a reliable change of light in red and white. It is recommended that the wheels and couplings be cleaned regularly to ensure optimum operation. Moving parts should be lightly lubricated if necessary to ensure a long service life.

Conclusion: A set for real railroad enthusiasts

The Roco 7500127 H0 set of 2 with the Re 4/4 II locomotives 11133 and 11192 is a must for all fans of Swiss railroad traffic. The detailed reproduction, the authentic features and the high-quality workmanship make this set a highlight for any model railway collection. Perfect for use on H0 layouts, this set brings out the history and versatility of the Re 4/4 II in an impressive way.
