Description

Roco 7520111 H0 electric locomotive E.432.012, FS, Ep. II-III, AC-sound Product Details

Three-phase electric locomotive E.432.012, FS, Era II-III, AC sound: An Italian masterpiece from Roco

The E.432.012 three-phase electric loc omotive from the Italian State Railways (FS) is an impressive H0 scale model that perfectly reflects the technology and elegance of early electric locomotives. With a black paint scheme, extensive sound functions and finely detailed components, this model is an absolute highlight for any Era II or III layout.

The prototype: E.432 - pioneer of electric traction

In 1927, the Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) purchased 40 class E.432 locomotives from the renowned locomotive factory "Società Ernesto Breda". These machines were revolutionary for their time: they used three-phase technology and had an impressive continuous output of 2,200 kW. With a weight of 94 tons and the axle formula 1'D1', they were suitable for both passenger and freight trains.

Their black housing was based on the design of steam locomotives. In the 1950s, the E.432 was often seen on the Brenner line in front of international express trains before being withdrawn from regular service until 1976. This model perfectly captures the historical significance and technical innovation of these locomotives.

Roco: attention to detail and innovation

Roco is known for models that impress with their excellent workmanship and prototypical design. The E.432.012 is a prime example of this. This model offers filigree pantographs, numerous separately applied components and a precise reproduction of the locomotive details. The black paintwork gives the locomotive an authentic and historically correct appearance.

Technically, the model impresses with a powerful 5-pole motor with flywheel, extensive sound functions and digitally switchable LED lighting, including cab and engine room lighting. The integrated PluX22 sound decoder provides a realistic driving experience.

Technical details and functions

The model is designed for H0 gauge on a scale of 1:87. The NEM 362 shaft coupling with KK kinematics ensures a reliable connection with other vehicles. The minimum radius is 358 mm, which allows use on a wide variety of layouts. Four powered axles and a traction tire axle ensure optimum traction, while a buffer capacitor ensures smooth operation.

The LED lighting includes 2 headlights depending on the direction of travel as well as switchable driver's cab and engine room lighting, which ensures realistic scenarios on the model railway layout. The three-phase current technology of the prototype is perfectly reproduced by the authentic sound effects of the integrated PluX22 decoder.

Recommendation for model railroaders

The E.432.012 electric locomotive from Roco is a must for anyone who wants to present historic locomotives with innovative technology on their layout. With its detailed design, extensive functions and high-quality workmanship, this model is an asset to any collection. Order this locomotive now in our model railway store and experience a piece of Italian railroad history from eras II and III on your H0 layout.
