YaMoRC YD6016ES-CS 16-channel feedback module s88N Current Sense

The YaMoRC YD6016ES-CS is a feedback module with 16 inputs based on the s88N standard, which is particularly suitable for model railroaders who want to record track occupancy or loads via current measurement. It works according to the current sense principle and provides reliable feedback even with long cable runs.

Technical data & possible applications

The module has 16 feedback inputs, divided into two independent groups with eight inputs each and their own common earth connections ("Common"). Each input can be permanently loaded with up to 2 A, whereby the entire module provides a maximum continuous power of 8 A across all inputs. Short-term loads of up to 5 A per input (for approx. 100 ms) are possible. The sensitivity is around 1 mA, so that even small loads are reliably detected. Each input has a capacitive filter to suppress interference caused by long cables or poor track contact conditions.

Interfaces & expandability

The YD6016ES-CS offers several connection options: s88N via RJ45 patch cable, ES-OUT-Link and ES-IN-Link. Additional feedback modules with ES-Link function can be connected via ES-OUT-Link. The module can be integrated into existing ES-Link networks for configuration via ES-IN-Link. Important: ES-OUT-Link must not be used simultaneously with s88N-OUT and ES-IN must not be used simultaneously with s88N-IN in order to avoid conflicts in the signal routing. The firmware can be updated via ES-Link so that new functions or improvements can be retrofitted.

Mechanics & dimensions

The module is housed in a compact housing with dimensions of approx. 84 × 88 × 22 mm. It is mounted via four holes in the housing. The connections are robustly designed, with the earth connections ("C") supporting a wire gauge of 0.75 mm² and all other inputs supporting a wire cross-section of approx. 0.5 mm².
