With the Fleischmann 7570073 you get a special model of the class 180 electric locomotive on your N-gauge layout - now with digital sound decoder and switchable light. The locomotive impresses with its fine detailing, excellent printing, elaborate roof design and prototypical proportions. A highlight for Era VI fans with that certain extra in technology and sound.
Two-system technology with East-West history
In the 1980s, the DR developed a new locomotive in cooperation with Škoda for cross-border use between the GDR and the ČSSR. The BR 230 - later operated by DB AG as the BR 180 - was a dual-system locomotive that could be operated with both alternating current (15 kV/16⅔ Hz) and direct current (3 kV). It was therefore predestined for international connections and was a symbol of technical cooperation across borders.
State-of-the-art model technology with sound and light control
The model is factory-equipped with a digital decoder in accordance with the Next18 standard and offers a rich sound experience. The LED headlights and tail lights can be switched separately in digital mode. Additional light functions also increase the closeness to the prototype and provide even more operating fun. The locomotive has a particularly finely detailed design with numerous separately applied components and an elaborate roof structure.
Optimum driving characteristics and compact design
The locomotive has four powered axles, two of which have traction tires - ideal for use on demanding routes. Thanks to the NEM 355 coupling shaft with close coupling kinematics, it is compatible with all standard N-gauge wagons. With a length of 105 mm, the locomotive is also ideal for layouts with smaller radii from 192 mm.
