Kres 51042030 BR 670 double-decker-rail bus, 670 004-1, DB, Ep. V

Six type 670 double-decker rail buses were produced, which were mainly used in Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt and Rhineland-Palatinate. The planned successor series 670-1 was never built due to the various problems of the first generation with engine cooling, air conditioning and the lack of toilets. The six coaches used from 1996 onwards were returned to the manufacturer in 2001, who refurbished them and sold them on to smaller railroad companies. Kres is now reproducing this rail bus in great detail in the design of Deutsche Bahn AG. Attention has been paid to every detail and the poor engine cooling of the original has been dispensed with. The rail bus is equipped with interior lighting as well as a light change depending on the direction of travel. It also has a digital interface in accordance with NEM651 so that it can be easily converted to a digital model.
