Roco 7180010 TT steam locomotive 086 400-9, DB, Ep.IV Product Details
The Roco steam locomotive 086 400-9 of the German Federal Railroad in Era IV is a new design with a variant that has De Limon wheel flange lubrication. The coal box is equipped with a welded attachment (built in 1972) and the leading and trailing wheel set is equipped with 9 spokes. The locomotive is also equipped with DB reflector lamps.
After the end of the 2nd World War, there were 386 class 86 locomotives on West German territory. Most of these locomotives could be repaired, so that the DB had 378 locomotives of this class in 1952. In addition to classic branch line trains, their tasks also included the regular transportation of express trains and shunting in freight yards. The last DB locomotives were retired from service in 1974 as the 086 series.
