Märklin C-Track plan for NOCH Easy-Track Andreastal
Example: Andreastal with Märklin C-Track Coordinated centre-conductor track package for the NOCH 53605 route-construction kit
Distinguishing the Route Kit from the Track Package

What are NOCH Easy-Track track sets?

A NOCH Easy-Track route-construction kit supplies the preformed track-bed sections, pillars, screws, a full-scale route plan and track plans for several track systems. The rails themselves are not automatically included with the route-construction kit.

The Easy-Track track sets shown here are separately assembled track packages. Each package contains the exact straights, curves, turnouts and track ends required for a particular layout plan and track system.

H0 offers both the Märklin centre-conductor systems and the two-rail systems from Trix, PIKO and Roco. The N-gauge layouts can be built using Fleischmann or Minitrix track. The roadbed, electrical system and geometry must therefore be selected before purchase.

An Easy-Track track package does not contain locomotives, coaches, wagons, buildings or landscaping materials. The corresponding NOCH route-construction kit also remains a separate product.

Do not mix track systems: Always purchase one complete package from the same track system for a layout plan. Märklin C-Track, Trix C-Track, PIKO A-Track and ROCO LINE sometimes use similar radii but differ in current distribution, connectors, roadbed and compensation geometry.

Electrical System, Roadbed and Track Geometry

Which Easy-Track track system suits your layout?

First select the gauge and electrical system. Then decide whether an integrated roadbed or completely individual ballast treatment is more suitable for the project.

From the Available Room to the Suitable Package

How to Select Your NOCH Easy-Track Track Set

The layout name alone is not sufficient. The gauge, electrical system, roadbed, vehicle radii and train lengths must all be compatible.

Measure the Complete Base Area

In addition to the minimum area, allow room for the layout edge, operation, wiring and maintenance access.

Select the Gauge

H0 provides larger models and more visible detail. N gauge permits long routes within a considerably smaller area.

Define the Electrical System

Märklin C-Track and K-Track use a centre conductor. Trix, PIKO, Roco, Fleischmann and Minitrix use two-rail systems.

Select the Roadbed Type

Integrated roadbed accelerates assembly. Track without roadbed permits more individual scenic treatment.

Check the Minimum Radius

Every intended locomotive, coach and wagon must safely negotiate the tightest curve in the selected plan.

Test the Track Before Landscaping

Assemble every route, turnout and gradient transition completely and test them using long vehicles.

Very Little Space

Select Mittelberg in N gauge or Theisensee in H0.

Compact H0 Station

Karlsberg combines continuous running with shunting possibilities.

Mountain Route

Andreastal provides several levels and long visible curves.

Extensive Operation

Martinstadt and the Albula Railway provide the greatest number of operational locations.

Frequently Searched Answers

Questions About NOCH Easy-Track Track Sets

These answers help with package contents, track systems, space requirements and selection of the correct layout plan.

How many Easy-Track track packages are included in this overview?

The overview contains 27 current track packages: 21 for H0 and six for N gauge. They cover six layout plans with preconfigured track combinations.

Is the track included with the NOCH route-construction kit?

No. The route-construction kit contains track-bed sections, pillars, an assembly plan and track plans. The suitable track package is selected separately.

Which Easy-Track plan requires the least space?

Mittelberg requires approximately 115 × 75 centimetres in N gauge. The smallest H0 layout is Theisensee at approximately 125 × 105 centimetres.

Which track sets are suitable for Märklin vehicles?

Märklin vehicles with pickup shoes require the Easy-Track packages for Märklin C-Track or Märklin K-Track.

Which H0 packages are intended for two-rail vehicles?

Trix C-Track, PIKO A-Track and ROCO LINE are intended for H0 two-rail operation. The individual vehicle must also be suitable for the selected radius.

What is the difference between track with and without roadbed?

Track with roadbed already has a moulded ballast body. With track supplied without roadbed, the underlay, roadbed width and ballast colour are designed individually.

Can I mix track from different manufacturers in one plan?

This is not recommended. Lengths, radii, connectors, installation height and electrical systems differ. Use one complete package from the same track system.

Why is there no complete track package for St Andreas?

The route-construction kit contains track plans for five H0 systems. Modellbahnshop does not currently link a complete preconfigured track combination as a separate set product.

Can an Easy-Track layout use analogue and digital control?

Yes. The operating method is determined by the controller or digital command station, vehicle decoders, turnout drives and wiring.

Which N-gauge system has an integrated roadbed?

The Fleischmann Piccolo packages for Mittelberg and the Albula Railway have an integrated ballast body. Fleischmann track without roadbed and Minitrix track require a separate underlay.

Which package is suitable for extensive shunting operation?

Martinstadt has numerous turnouts and terminal tracks. In N gauge, the Albula Railway provides a large station, passing route and goods tracks.

Does a track package contain scenery and buildings?

No. The packages contain the relevant track components. The route-construction kit, terrain, bridges, buildings, vehicles and other accessories are selected separately.
