This modern DB AG vehicle has been in nationwide service since 2011 and embodies the image of contemporary German local transport. A direction-dependent light change in white/red is fitted as standard. The lighting is based on energy-saving LED technology. Interior lighting is not prepared at the factory, but can be retrofitted if you have some experience. A special coupling for multiple traction is included for operational use - perfect for the interaction of several Talent 2 trains.

Dimensions & compatibility

With an impressive length over buffers of 1002 mm, the multiple unit is ideally suited for main line operation on larger H0 layouts. The minimum radius is 358 mm, which means that it can also be used on medium-sized layouts. The model is equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link. Four traction tires ensure stable traction even with longer trains.

Prototype & area of application

The class 442 vehicles are an integral part of DB AG's modern regional transportation. In the Rostock S-Bahn version, they serve connections around the Baltic coast and are a familiar sight in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
